CAMPS

Join the fun with MPD Camps! The Park District offers summer camps for ages 3 - 12 and holiday camps for K-5th grade, complete with optional before and after care hours. Camps are instructed by caring professionals who create an environment of adventure and fun while encouraging positive social development, physical activity, and emotional well-being. Campers create long-lasting friendships while learning new skills, playing favorite games, expressing creativity, and making lifelong memories! Summer campers enjoy weekly field trips, visits to Manhattan Public Library, and fun at Central Park Splash Pad and Round Barn Farm. Camps are held at Central Park, the Hansen Community Center, and Round Barn Farm. Installment billing options are available. Choose from 5-day or 3-day options. Camp Coyote and Camp Chipmunk run 9 am - 4 pm and Camp Chickadee runs 9 am - 12 pm.

      Full-day holiday camps for K-5th grade students at Central Park and the Hansen Community Center during fall, winter and spring breaks.More

  • Aveda Marotta

    Aveda has worked with the Manhattan Park District for 13 years in the before and after school program, and also works at Nelson Ridge School caring for students at lunch and recess. Aveda is happily married with three children and two wonderful granddaughters.

  • Taylor Medeiros

    Taylor Medeiros is the Site Director of The Den Before and After School Program. Taylorbegan working with The Den at the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year, but has more than ten years of experience with child care and before and after care programs. Working in childcare is her passion, and she loves having the opportunity to see each child grow and become amazing people. Taylor enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, baking delicious desserts and playing with her three cats.

  • Taylor Martinez

    Taylor Martinez is a senior at Illinois State University andwas born and raised in Manhattan. She is an experienced child caregiver and enjoys working with The Den students. Taylor especially loves being back at Anna Mac because it brings back great memories of when she attended school there!

  • Sarah Crost

    Sarah is new to The Den but absolutely enjoys being a part of the fun, and working with the students each afternoon. Sarah is planning to attend community college next year and will pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
